The Provincial Building and Construction Trades Council of Ontario welcome the announcement made today by the Government of Ontario, with regards to the refurbishment of the Pickering Nuclear Generating Station. Business Manager Marc Arsenault was on site at the announcement and PBCTCO released the following statement:
The Building Trades wholeheartedly welcome the government’s decision to refurbish the Pickering Nuclear Generating Station which will provide clean, zero-emissions electricity for decades to come. This announcement will create thousands of jobs and training opportunities for construction workers while ensuring continued energy security for the province of Ontario.”
