This two-day 'Train the Trainer' Mental Health Awareness training package is for union educators to deliver to union members, apprentices, officers, and representatives. This course covers the importance of mental heath, how the workplace affects your mental heath, and how to support workers.

About the event
The Provincial Building and Construction Trades Council of Ontario is proud to partner with the Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec Building Trades Council as well as SMART Local 47, and the Ottawa Labour Management Health and Safety Committee to present this training opportunity.
The 'Train the Trainer' program will take approximately 12 hours to complete over two days, from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm, including active class time and homework/preparation. This program is being offered to train your trainers, to then teach this program.
Lunch will be provided. Participants are required to bring their own notepads and writing equipment they need for notes.
After completing this course, participants will:
Have a greater understanding of the signs and symptoms of depression and anxiety.
Be confident to approach a worker they may be concerned about and initiate a conversation.
