Anti-Discrimination Anti-Harassment

Preventative safety measures are key in avoiding incidents. By integrating Anti-Discrimination Anti-Harassment Training or ADAH, workplaces address issues that can reduce discrimination and harassment. Having protocols and training in place tackles the situation before it becomes a problem, fostering a safer and more respectful work environment.

Harassment and Discrimination are pressing matters that continue to be issues for women and underrepresented workers in the construction industry. Our goal is to make harassment training mandatory for construction sites and stop discrimination and harassment before it happens with training, continued education, and best practices.

This training aims to achieve the following outcomes for Unions, Employers, and Training Institutions:

  • Prevent harassment and discrimination on the jobsite and related sectors

  • Rights and responsibilities of all job site personnel

  • Promotion of an inclusive, team-oriented site culture

  • Encouragement of early reporting and proactive resolution of workplace issues

  • Provision of education that challenges and unlearns negative behaviors, ultimately contributing to a stronger workplace culture

  • Reduction of lost time and prevention of workplace injury or harassment-related claims through early intervention and education
