James Hogarth

President

James Hogarth is President of the Provincial Building and Construction Trades Council of Ontario. He was elected President at the Council’s 55th Annual Convention in October 2012.


James has been a member of the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipefitting Industry of the United States and Canada since 1980. He was elected Business Agent of U.A. Local 46 – Toronto, and has served in this position for 5 years before being elected Business Manager of the local, a position he held for 9 years.


James also served as President of the Ontario Pipe Trades Council (OPTC) for four years, and has since been elected Business Manager of the OPTC. James is a Trustee on Health Benefits and Pension plans and serves on various other committees. He also sits on the Board of Directors of the De Novo Treatment Centre and the Ontario Construction Secretariat.
